This player do work well, it play DIVX very well (no lag, good sound quality,) you can even play divx from a hard drive connect to the usb port (the hard drive need to have at least 8Mo of cache, if not the video will not play correctly). The only problem with that dvd portable player is the DVB tuner (for the tnt) in switzerland (lausanne) the tnt is available through the cable but the player is having problem with some channel (like TF1,FR2,TSR1,TSR2,TS1,TSI2,SF1,SF2) the player show an error when trying to view those channel (Can't play channel signal scrambled or something like that). So i did exchange the dvd once to store but the same problem occurs on the new one they give me, I did contact thomson support but they were not help at all except telling me to bring the dvd back to the store again. I hope there is some firmware update in the future to fix this problem. Beside this i do recomment this player, great productOberson
